“..But right from the first whistle, we showed that we were up for the challenge. The lads were highly focused and let play flow well.” he added

Glasner named the same line-up as in previous matches, and his charges had plenty of possession in the opening exchanges, always looking to press forward. He said his side had a mature display against  Uwe Neuhaus led side, charging them to keep up the good attitude in the subsequent matches

“To begin with, we struggled to find the spaces and Bielefeld were set up well, but then we took the lead thanks to a great move, doubled it straight after half-time and then followed that up with a wonderful third goal.” said Glasner

However, Uwe Neuhaus of Arminia said Wolfsburg got the deserved victory over his side, saying that they started the match beautifully, made some mistakes which his opponents pounced on in getting the victory.

“VfL Wolfsburg earned their win. We started the match off very well and the opening minutes were very closely contested. Unfortunately, we made a mistake in the first half and VfL took the first chance that came their way and scored from it.” Uwe Neuhaus said

“After the break, things went relatively quickly and we lost our focus a little bit. And once it was 3-0, the game was out of reach already. Despite this, the team didn’t let their heads drop and kept looking for a way to get back into it. We’ll go away and analyse the match and work on making fewer mistakes.”

Wolfsburg is placed third in the German Bundesliga, seven points behind league leaders, Bayern Munich. They will be hoping to close the gap when facing Hertha away from home on February 27.
