He has also formed an interesting partnership with January signing Bruno Fernandes from Lisbon, Portugal. Pogba’s current contract expires next year as the Red Devil boss has hinted that a new contract is in the pipeline.

Speaking with The Mirror; “What Paul said was said before. Since coming back from injury has been a delight. He has worked really hard, he is happy, and he is playing well. we are going to see the best of Paul in the next couple of seasons, I’m sure.”

“And I’m looking forward to seeing him grow with this team. He will have to be one of the leaders, one of the main figures because he is just coming to his peak as a footballer at 27. I am really looking forward to working with him.

Pogba has had a difficult season since joining Manchester United in 2016 in a club-record transfer from Italian Champions Juventus for 89 million pounds.

Pogba had earlier played for the Red Devil’s in a first stint between 2009-2011 before leaving on a free transfer due to lack of playing time. He went on to Juventus, where he became a pivotal member of a trophy-winning Juventus team making 178 appearances and scoring 34 goals and 40 assists.

The French man had a falling out with the previous manager Jose Mourinho; he also missed a large part of the season due to injury. But since the return of the Premier League from the Corona break, he has played a key role in the progress of the team in the Europa League as they play FC Copenhagen in their quarter-final fixture.
