Nice Shock Struggling PSG Despite Kylian Mbappe Brace

Nigerian attacker Terem Moffi inspired Nice victory over PSG after giving the club a first-half lead after Mbappe lost the ball.

Kylian Mbappe however made amends in the match eight minutes later, scoring a powerful shot from the edge of the box.

The visitors took the lead again in the second half as Moffi went on an excellent run and assisted Gaetan Laborde, who scored with a volley.

The Man of the Match – Moffi, scored his second goal of the encounter with a low shot after an attacking run to round off a counterattack.

Nice saw the hosts equalize again after debutant Randal Kolo Muani found Mbappe with a cross and the Frenchman scored a superb late Volley.

Nice held on to win the match, and they leapfrog PSG in the table as they are in second place with 9 points, while PSG are in third place with 8 points.

Despite Kylian Mbappe’s brace, the home fans were left stunned as Nice claimed a shock win as Moffi ruled the match.

PSG began the season with a slow performance coupled with the back and forth with Mbappe over his future with the team.

They won week games three and four and looked like they were back on track but the sloppy performance is now raising questions.

Nice suffered the Parisians especially because PSG’s lack of creativity in attack was too obvious.

Mbappe’s second goal came from pretty much the only chance they created in half an hour of play after going 3-1 behind.

Nice also showed that PSG’s defense is somewhat shaky even though the Ligue 1 champions boosted up their defense line.

PSG will start their Champions League campaign on Tuesday and they are in a very tough group, with slim hopes of surviving.

The visitors enjoyed every part of the encounter, bagging all three points with their man Terem Moffi also bagging the Man Of The Match award.

The Nigerian was the difference between the two teams and PSG’s defence was justifiably terrified every time he ran at them.
