Signing a five-year contract, the 31-year-old made his Chelsea debut on September 29, 2020 in EFL Cup fourth round defeat to Tottenham Hotspur.

He kept a clean sheet in his Premier League debut against Crystal Palace, helping secure a 4-0 win over the Bees.

Edouard Mendy became the first Chelsea goalkeeper to keep a clean sheet in his first three Premier League matches after Petr Cech attained the feat in 2004.

Mendy took his brilliant domestic start with Chelsea to the Champions League. He equaled the record of Keylor Navas and Santiago Cantizares for most Champions League clean sheets in a single season after he kept a clean sheet as Chelsea defeated Manchester City in the final to win the trophy.

Edouard Mendy won the Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, FIFA Club World Cup, and also reach the FA and EFL Cup final.
