Odion Ighalo and the Nigeria national team goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali showed utmost support for Victor Osimhen after the Napoli striker lost his place in the club’s squad because he forcefully tried to leave the club.
Ighalo took to his Twitter account to reveal Osimhen was in pain, and he felt it from his voice after they had a conversation about his current situation and his future.
Ighalo said, “No human being is perfect, and we have all made mistakes in life, but seeing comments about this young man from his country’s people makes me really sad, without even knowing what happened.”
“I spoke to him, and I could feel the pain in his voice. The way he’s been treated, this young man plays with his heart and passion for his country.”
On the other hand, Super Eagles goalkeeper Nwabali showed his sincere support for the Napoli striker. Nwabali took to his Twitter account to encourage Osimhen.
He said, “All great legends and all Hall of Fame fighters have their storylines. Good, bad, and worst kinds of views from people who have no idea what the real story is and what it takes. I would define a myth as a story that has survived. VO9.”
Osimhen and Napoli relationship has been broken after the club took away the No. 9 jersey from him.
