Former Nigerian striker, Obafemi Martins turned 37-year-old on Thursday, October 28, 2021, and his wife, Nadine Martins sent him a lovely message to mark the special day.
The former Inter Milan and Newcastle United striker screenshot the birthday message from his wife and shared it on his Instagram page for the admiration of his over 514,000 Instagram followers.
In the birthday message, Nadine Martins attached a picture of Obafemi Martins chilling with his handset while wearing a shirt and a white T-shirt. The football star also wore a raffia hat and glasses even though he was indoors.
Nadine Martins whose relationship with the footballer became public in 2020, described Obafemi Martins as an amazing husband and wished to spend a lifetime with him.
She wrote: “Happy birthday to my amazing husband, you are the most humble, hard-working, and loving man I have ever met. We are so blessed to have you in our lives.
“You are the best husband and father a woman could pray for. I thank God for you every single day. Here’s to a million years and lifetimes baby”.
What will know about Nadine Martins and Obafemi Martins
Nadine was first known to be a co-director of Obafemi Martins Foundation before the news broke that she and the footballer are married.
When or where they got married is not known but Futballnews gathered that Obafemi Martins and Nadine have been officially together since 2020.
When the Nigerian striker was playing for Chinese clubs, SH Shenhua and Wuhan FC between 2020 and 2021, Nadine was with him in China.
During their time together in China, Nadine helped the footballer to run his foundation and she also started an international school in China which is set to expand throughout Asia and Africa.
At the time of publishing this report, it is not known whether the two lovers have had any child together.
Before Nadine Martins there was Martins and Abigail Barwuah
Before the world got to know that Obafemi Martins had anything to do with Nadine Martins, he was in a lengthy relationship with Abigail Barwuah. He had started dating the Ghanaian-Italian reality TV star before he joined Spanish club Levante in 2012.
Obafemi Martins and Abigail Barwuah have a child together named Kendrick. The boy was born in 2013.
Even though Abigail referred to herself as Mrs. Martins during her time with the footballer, it is not known whether they ever got married.
Some Nigerian blogs used to refer to Abigail as Obafemi’s baby mama until she started flaunting a wedding ring. The relationship ended around 2018 or 2019.
Before Kendrick was born, the Nigerian former striker has had two sons – Tyler Martins and Kelvin Martins from previous relationships.
His eldest son, Kevin was born in Italy on January 31, 2005, when Martins was still playing for Inter Milan. He is currently playing for Inter Milan youth team and Italy national youth team.
Now that Obafemi Martins is without a club after his spell at Wuhan FC ended on January 1, 2021, he spends more of his time at his 800 million Naira mansion in Italy. He sometimes spends time at his 500 million Naira mansion in Lagos, his city of birth.
Abigail Barwuah did not just date a renowned footballer, she was born into a football family. She is a sister to former Manchester City and Inter Milan forward Mario Balotelli.
