How Nottingham Forest Defeated High-Flying Brighton

The relegation-battling team came from behind to defeat FA Cup semi-finalist Brighton.

Nottingham Forest had a nine-minute penalty after Pervis Estupinan fouled Neco Williams in the 18-yard box.

Nottingham Forest’s top scorer, Johnson took the shot but missed the penalty. Brighton almost went ahead with Nottingham Forest but goalkeeper Keylor Navas saved Kaoru Mitoma’s shot.

Navas’ poor goal kick went straight to Brighton’s Solly March, who created a chance for young starlet Buonanotte to put Brighton ahead.

Brighton went on to dominate the first half with nice passes and composure on the ball.

Before the end of the first half, Nottingham Forest got back into the game due to Brighton Gross’s own goal.

The midfielder turned Renan Lodi’s cross into his own net. Gross’s own goal led to the resurgence of Nottingham Forest players.
