Olaolu Akeredolu-Ale better known as Olaolu Slawn, has partnered with famous goldsmiths Thomas Lyte to design a tailor-made one-off replica of the Emirates FA Cup trophy.

Slawn took to his social media accounts to appreciate the FA trophy for the opportunity, tagging the tribute as the “biggest thing” he hasn’t done ever.

Most of the British-Nigerian works include spray paint, large-scale pop art canvases, graffiti, caricatures, and murals.

In 2023, Olaolu Slawn became the youngest individual to design the Britannia statuette for the annual BRIT awards.

Slawn was born on October 24, 2000, and during his late teens, he worked at Wafflesncream, Nigeria’s first skate shop.

The 23-year-old met his friends Leo and Onyedi at the shop, and the three created artwork, and skate together, alongside producing films.

Subsequently, they created an apparel group named Motherlan, with the brand going on to gain popularity in Nigeria, afterward receiving recognition from Virgil Abloh.

When did Olaolu Akeredolu-Ale Move To London?

Olaolu Slawn moved to London in 2018 and enrolled at Middlesex University to study graphic design in 2019.

During the early phase of the COVID-19 pandemic, the British-Nigerian started painting, and after painting he often would hand his artwork to people at parties, and that led to him building a social media presence for his works.

Meanwhile, Olaolu Akeredolu-Ale has about 286,000 followers on Instagram alongside around 53,000 on X, and he regularly shares pictures from time to time of some of his works.

Slawn is dating Tallula Christie, and they currently have one child together, a son, and it appears like they might be welcoming another soon.

Christie’s belly was seen protruding in a recent family post shared by Olaolu Slawn on Instagram and has drawn fans into thinking that she might be pregnant.

Moreover, Tallula Christie is a student at Stoke Newington, Fashion Retail Academy in Greater London, England, United Kingdom.

Anyway, in the post shared by Slawn on Instagram on his recent work regarding the FA Cup trophy, he indicated that has been the “biggest thing” he has done so far in his career. He also received a comment from the prestigious cup competition’s handle on Instagram.

The post was captioned “Biggest thing I’ve done yet. My tribute to the FA Cup trophy. Slawn and @ThomasLyte

    Thank you @EmiratesFACup

Amen,” and it has received 69,000 likes.

The Emirates FA Cup commented on the post by writing: “Can’t wait to see your tribute unveiled on Monday”.

Olaolu Akeredolu-Ale appears to be close with several notable celebrities, including Afrobeat great Ayodeji Balogun, known professionally as Wizkid, and they were recently pictured together.

Slawn apparently also knows David Adeleke, known professionally as Davido, with the Afrobeat great seen in his comments section recently.

Note that Manchester City will battle Manchester United in the FA Cup final, with the game slated for May 25, 2024.

The Cityzens are odds-on favorites going into the encounter against the 2nd most successful side in the competition, but it is unknown where the pendulum would swing.

The two teams also featured in the final of the 2022/23 edition, with Manchester City coming out victorious at Wembley by 2-1.
