Neymar Jr. celebrated on the field with his baby daughter Mavie after Al-Hilal secured the Saudi Arabia Pro League title.
The Riyad-based team were crowned champions of the Saudi Pro League on Saturday for the fourth time in five years and 19th time overall.
Al-Hilal won the trophy at the cost of Cristiano Ronaldo’s club Al-Nassr, with three games to play following a 4-1 triumph over Al-Hazm, in which Aleksandar Mitrovic scored a brace.
However, after the match, Neymar Jr. celebrated on the field with his baby daughter Mavie and then in the dressing room with one of his teammates which he later posted a video on his Instagram page.
Recall that the former FC Barcelona player missed most of the Saudi League season after he sustained a severe knee injury while on duty with Brazil against Uruguay last October 2023.
The former PSG forward is nearing a return but will not play in Al-Hilal’s remaining games or in this summer’s Copa America.
The 32-year-old Brazilian star made only three appearances in the Saudi Pro League before being convicted to the treatment room.
Neymar Jr.’s side are still unbeaten in the Saudi Pro League this campaign with a record of 29 victories from 31 outings.
The 1-1 draw against Damac in September 2023 was the last time the Riyadh-based club dropped points and their manager has seen four players register 10 or more goals this season.
These players include Mitrovic who has 26 goals, Malcom with 14, Salem Al-Dawsari registering 13, and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic with 11 goals.
What’s next for Neymar Jr?
After Neymar Copa America’s dream hit the wall following the omission of his name from Brazil’s squad, the coming months for the former Lionel Messi teammate will be focused entirely on returning to peak fitness ahead of Al-Hilal’s 2024-25 campaign.
Should he return to his best form, the Brazil International will be looking forward to taking his side to another trophy glory in the near future.
