Paris Saint Germain forward, Neymar has been vaccinated against the dreaded coronavirus which has been ravaging the world since 2019.

The 29-year-old Brazilian left-winger took to his Instagram account on Thursday to share a video showing when he was being injected with the coronavirus vaccine.

In the caption, the Brazilian international described how happy he was that his turn to be vaccinated came after he had waited for a long time. He also wished things get normal for his country and the whole world gets vaccinated.

He wrote: “After so much waiting, my turn came. What happiness … I hope everything returns to normal as soon as possible and that not only my country BRAZIL but the whole world may be vaccinated.”

Recall that Neymar was one of the players in PSG that contracted the dreaded coronavirus in August 2020. It took him over two weeks to return to training at the club.

Other players at the club that contracted the virus included: Angel Di Maria, Leandro Paredes, Mauro Icardi, Keylor Navas, and Marquinhos. Even the new coach of the side, Mauricio Pochettino contracted the virus in his first few weeks at the club.

As it stands, Neymar who missed PSG’s French Cup final against Monaco on Wednesday which his club won 2-0, thanks to goals from Kylian Mbappe and Mauro Icardi, would no longer have to fear contracting the virus.

Neymar is expected to be back for PSG ahead of the club’s last game of the season which is against Brest at 20:00 on May 23. The game has the potential of winning the Ligue 1 title for PSG if the league’s table toppers, Lille fail to win their last league game against Angers on the same date.

Recently, Neymar had the opportunity of selecting different players to illustrate what a complete player should be like. To the dismay of many, he was able to mention all his contemporaries in his quest to describe the kind of skills a complete player should have.

He didn’t fail to mention Lionel Messi’s career rival Cristiano Ronaldo, and Real Madrid’s defender Sergio Ramos among the elements such a player should have. He also mentioned AC Milan’s Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Chelsea’s N’Golo Kante as some of the attributes his ideal complete player should have.

He said: “I think the physicality of Cristiano Ronaldo, Ibrahimovic’s elasticity, the heading game of Sergio Ramos, Mbappe’s speed.

“Left leg of Messi, my right foot, Lewandowski’s positioning, the tackling of Kante and the creation in the middle field of Verratti.”
