Neymar was left almost helpless when a group of fans swamped him when he and his Brazilian teammates arrived at their hotel on Thursday night.
Neymar who is currently the most loved and followed Brazilian player joined up with the Brazil national team ahead of their World Cup qualifier against Ecuador on Saturday, June 5, and the forthcoming Copa America.
After the Thursday training session, he and his national teammates relocated to their team hotel. As they were walking into the hotel, a group of fans were able to bypass the security barricade and collided with Neymar.
One of the overzealous fans fell on his leg. While the Paris Saint Germain talisman tried to rescue the fan on the ground, others tried to have a feel of his body.
It took the help of the security operatives around to rescue the footballer from the hands of the excited fans. Afterward, the footballer tried to pick up some of his stuff that fell on the ground.
In a video of the incident that surfaced on social media, Neymar could be seen limping into the hotel while he still tried to wave at the fans who were calling for his attention.

The incident seemed not to be enough to injure the Brazilian 29-year-old left-winger who is expected to lead Brazil on Saturday against Ecuador as they continue to fight for a FIFA World Cup slot.
Neymar is expected to also be available for Brazil when the Copa America kickoffs on June 13 in Brazil. Recall that Brazil became an emergency host of the competition after Argentina was deprived of hosting the competition due to the increasing number of coronavirus cases in the country.
Hence, Neymar has another opportunity to play Copa America in Brazil for the second time in less than three years. Recall that Brazil hosted the competition in 2019 and Neymar helped the country to conquer Peru in the final.
After the tournament, he would return to PSG to continue to do his best for the French club whose dominance in the Ligue 1 was halted by Lille in the just-concluded season.
Unlike his teammate at PSG, Kylian Mbappe, Neymar has extended his contract with PSG which means that the Brazilian would remain at the club until June 2025.
