Newcastle’s new signing Anthony Gordon claimed ignorance after he was caught on the wheels on Wednesday while serving a ban on driving.

Former Everton winger Anthony Gordon said he was oblivious to his disqualification from driving when caught on the wheels last week.

According to reports, Gordon was banned from driving on Monday but was not aware when the correspondence is thought to have been sent to an old address.

And the ban was filed against Gordon twice after failing to reveal the details of the driver of his car.

The £40million January signing came to realize the situation when his new club, Newcastle was contacted by a national newspaper last week.

And there’s been many assumptions over the weekend suggesting that the 21-year-old former Everton star could be jailed having been spotted driving whilst banned on Wednesday.

And in adherence to the ban, Gordon’s girlfriend has been driving him to and from training while going through the legal process of seeking to get the ban overturned.

Meanwhile, Newcastle United manager, Eddie Howe said he’s aware of the situation but he’s not sure if the media gave an accurate report as he claimed their story didn’t match up.

Following Newcastle United’s 1-1 draw with West Ham United last week Saturday, Howe said: “I’m aware of it but I’m not sure the story quite matches up as reported.

“But it is something I need to find out more about.”

Anthony Gordon joined Newcastle late in the January transfer window as the 45-year-old England coach aspired to add more depth to the Magpies’ frontline.

The 21-year-old English player has successfully secured himself a move to a Champions League-chasing club after enduring a disappointing season with Everton.

Newcastle United seems just the right club for him following the club’s great form and their unflinching effort that has put them in fourth place ahead of Tottenham Hotspur.

Meanwhile, Newcastle United’s new signing midfielder Anthony Gordon has applauded Everton midfielder Amadou Onana on Instagram for his performance against Mikel Arteta’s Gunners team on Saturday, February 4th.

Everton got the better of Arsenal 1-0 at Goodison Park under their new boss Sean Dyche in a fierce Premier League clash on Saturday afternoon.

And Gordon has joined his former club in celebrating their victory against the Gunners as the win came as a blow for Arteta’s side in their quest to win the Premier League title this season.

The win against Arsenal yesterday has enhanced Everton’s chances of escaping from the relegation zone drop at the end of the season.

    What’s next for Anthony Gordon?

The £40million Newcastle newcomer Gordon is yet to make an appearance for the Magpies after being cup-tied in the Carabao Cup, but he could be in line to make his debut this Saturday against AFC Bournemouth.
