New York Red Bulls have agreed on a deal to sign Ivorian midfielder Jean-Philippe Gbamin on a free transfer.

Reports indicate that there will also be an option for a further year, meaning Jean-Philippe Gbamin could be tied to the MLS side at least until 2027.

The former Everton man is keen on a move to the United States despite holding talks with Espanyol, Angers, Nantes, and Metz.

Gbamin last played for Ligue 2 side USL Dunkerque, having joined the club on November 7, 2023, on a free transfer.
