Napoli have reached an agreement with Al-Ahli for the sale of Victor Osimhen, snubbing Chelsea’s attempts to sign the Nigeria international.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Al-Ahli will pay a fee of around €80m (£67.2m) for Osimhen, who has agreed to a four-year contract worth £25m net per season, including a release clause.

Romano wrote on his X account, stating: “BREAKING: Napoli reach total agreement with Al Ahli for Victor Osimhen!Club to club deal done for €75/80m total package, Al Ahli have already booked a medical.”

“Four year contract worth €25/30m per season net to Osimhen + RELEASE clause.Final green light up to Victor.”

This move comes as a significant blow to Chelsea, who had hoped to sign Osimhen on an initial loan deal with an obligation to make the move permanent. However, the player’s wages proved to be a major stumbling block in negotiations.

Napoli have already secured Osimhen’s replacement, signing Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea on Thursday. The departure of Osimhen raises questions about how Enzo Maresca’s side will address their inconsistency in front of goal.

The transfer is set to be completed after Osimhen undergoes a medical with Al-Ahli. This move marks a new chapter in the career of the prolific goal-scorer, who will become one of the highest-paid players in the Saudi Pro League.

Al Hilal defeated top European clubs to win Victor Osimhen over

Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen is on the verge of joining Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal, turning down interest from top clubs including Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal, Bayern Munich, and PSG.

Chelsea and Al Ahli were the main contenders for Osimhen’s signature, with Chelsea negotiating contract terms and submitting an official bid.

Report has it that the Blues negotiated with Napoli to reach an agreement with Victor Osimhen over contract terms as they have reportedly submitted an official bid.

However, Al Hilal’s recent bid of £67.2 million and offer of £25 million per season salary won over the 25-year-old.

Furthermore, Al Hilal officials travelled to Italy to finalize the deal and ultimately secured Osimhen’s signature in a lucrative deal.

This transfer marks a significant coup for Al Hilal, who have beaten top European clubs to sign one of the most sought-after strikers in the world. Osimhen’s potential move to Saudi Arabia is a testament to the growing appeal of the Saudi Pro League.

Victor Osimhen’s Al Hilal Contract Revealed: €80M Fee, £25M Per Season, And Release Clause

Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen’s contract details with Al Hilal have been revealed, showing a significant investment by the Saudi Pro League side.

Al Ahli will pay a fee of around €80m (£67.2m) for Osimhen, who has agreed to a four-year contract worth £25m net per season.

Contrary to reports of a €100m release clause, Al Ahli has included an affordable and easy release clause, giving Osimhen flexibility in his future career moves.
