Viral footage of the incident shows Sofian’s car flying at high speed and crashing into a building after he hit the roundabout in Liege road in Belgium.

The Moroccan star who is plying his trade in Belgium would have possibly avoided the disaster if he was on low speed or sustained mild damage at most.

But the reverse was the case. After hitting the roundabout, Sofian’s car was jacked like a projectile high up in the air before it crashed into a building. The building was later identified as a sports hall and the car was smashed to smithereens.

Sofian had to be immediately hospitalized after the incident.

Some children were reportedly in the Sports Hall when Sofian’s car crashed in through the roof and fortunately, none of the children was hurt in the accident.

Reports say the children were not present at the spot at which Sofian’s car crashed in. It would have been a deep nightmare with numerous casualties.

The children reportedly went into changing rooms before the car crashed in.

Before the accident, the footage appears to show Sofian losing control of the car. The car was seen beginning to hurtle on the road before it bumped into the roundabout and crashed.

Sofian plays for OH Leuven in Belgium and the club’s spokesperson has confirmed the incident.

He also confirmed Sofian has been hospitalized after the accident but thankfully he is not in a critical condition, but further examinations are still ongoing.

The club also clears the air, adding no other individual or car was caught up in the accident but the club are still investigating the circumstances that led to the accident.

Belgium authorities have reportedly begun extensive investigations into the incident and there are reports Sofian Kiyine could be penalised if he is found to have breached the speed limit for that road which is said to be 55mph as per HLN.
