After his goal for Liverpool in the 2-0 win over Aston Villa, Mohamed Salah is now top of the chart of Premier League footballers with the most goal contributions this season.

The Egyptian forward scored the second goal late in the second half as Liverpool put Aston Villa to the sword to open a five-point gap above second-placed Manchester City on the Premier League table.

Salah’s heroics in the game delineate the footballer’s integral role in the new dispensation at Liverpool under new boss Arne Slot.

Mohamed Salah performances for Liverpool this season

Breaking down his performances this season, Salah scored in his first match this season against Ipswich Town on August 17, 2024. He netted the second goal as the Reds ran out with a 2-0 victory over the newly promoted side at Portman Road.

He was also on target in the next Premier League clash against Brentford on August 25, helping the team to a 2-0 victory over the Bees. Again, he netted the second goal in the 73rd minute after Luis Diaz’s 13th-minute lead.

Against Manchester United at Old Trafford in the third match, Mohamed Salah scored the third goal for Liverpool in the second half after Luis Diaz’s first-half brace.

The Egyptian scored in his third consecutive Premier League match as Liverpool roasted Manchester United with a 3-0 away victory.

He blanked in his fourth match against Nottingham Forest – a match which happened to be Liverpool’s only defeat this season.

The Reds settled for a shock 1-0 defeat at home in the game with Callum Hudson-Odoi’s goal separating the tie.

He was on target in the 2-2 draw against Arsenal in the Emirates Stadium on October 27, 2022, scoring a late 81st-minute equalizer to peg the hosts to a draw.

Against Brighton, he completed the comeback for the Reds after Cody Gakpo cancelled out Ferdi Kadioglu’s early lead for the Seagulls.

His goal against Aston Villa saw him ramp up his tally to 14 goal contributions in 11 matches, comprising 8 goals and 6 assists.

Salah is closely followed by back-to-back Premier League Golden Boot winner and Manchester City forward Erling Haaland. Haaland has 12 goals and 0 assists for Man City this season.

Chelsea star Cole Palmer shares the same tally as Haaland. The England sensation has 7 goals with 5 assists in 11 Premier League matches for Chelsea.

Fourth on the chart is Arsenal winger Bukayo. Saka has 10 goal contributions in 10 matches for Arsenal this season. He has scored three times and provided seven assists.

Cameroon international and Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo is ranked sixth with 9 goal contributions. The former France U-21 player has eight goals in 11 matches for Brentford with one assist.

Chelsea’s Nicolas Jackson has the same goal contributions as Mbeumo. The 2023 summer arrival from Villarreal has 6 goals with 3 assists for the Blues in 11 Premier League matches.
