Mohamed Salah who has been a player at Liverpool since July 1, 2017, after securing a €42 million transfer deal to the club from French Ligue 1 side, AS Roma, still has until June 2023 before his contract with Liverpool will expire.

However, Liverpool is yet to start discussing a contract extension with him which is still sparking speculation that he could leave the club once a club makes the right offer for him.

But the coach of Liverpool, recently told the press that Mohamed Salah is happy at Liverpool and there was no offer for the Egypt international who is currently the club’s highest goalscorer so far this season.

Ahead of Liverpool’s first leg match against Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League quarter-final round, Mohamed Salah told a Spanish publication MARCA that he is opened to a transfer deal with a La Liga club.

“I hope to be able to play for many more years. Why not”, Salah said. “No one knows what’s going to happen in the future, so… maybe one day, yes.

“I hope to be doing the same thing that I’ve been doing in recent years. Winning trophies, scoring goals, helping my team win trophies… That’s the most important thing for me.”
