Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah scored two fantastic goals in two successive Premier League games that left everyone talking.

Recall that the 29-year-old Egyptian winger scored a stunner against Manchester City on October 3 which made many declared him the best in the world.

To prove that the goal did not come by chance, Mohamed Salah created something similar against Watford on Saturday, October 16.

The fact that he scores good goals has not been the talking point, how he takes on three to four defenders and makes them useless won’t stop wowing football fans.

Indeed, Mohamed Salah is not new to doing big things for Liverpool but so far this season, he has taken his game to a whole new level.

Recall that he is among the 30 people that have been nominated for the 2021 Ballon d’Or and from all indications, he does not stand a chance of winning it.

However, the belief is, if he should continue with the pace he started this season with nothing would stop him from clinching the football honor next time.

On the part of Liverpool coach, who wins the Ballon d’Or is not his concern. After watching Mohamed Salah danced his way to score Liverpool’s third goal in the club’s 0-4 victory over Watford, the German tactician concluded that no player is better than Mohamed Salah based on current form.

While acknowledging the legacies of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi who have won a combined 11 Ballon d’Or between 2004 and 2021, Klopp stressed that no one comes close to Salah currently.

The German coach rated the 29-year-old Egypt international higher than the likes of Kylian Mbappe of PSG, Erling Haaland of Dortmund, and Robert Lewandowski of Bayern who have also been doing wonders for their clubs so far this season.

“He is top. We all see it. Who is better than him?” Klopp told BT Sport.

“His performance was massive today. The pass for the first goal was great and the second goal was special.

“He’s the kind of player who can do these things for us.

“They are different goals [Salah’s goal against Manchester City and the one against Watford]. The other one was slightly more dynamic with more space. Neither goal is possible for people with normal feet but it’s possible for him and that makes it really special. You could see the way the team celebrated the goal that everyone knew it was something special…

“We don’t have to talk about what Messi and Ronaldo have done for world football and their dominance. But right now, he [Salah] is the best.

“I see him every day. There are people like [Robert] Lewandowski and Ronaldo and Messi and [Kylian] Mbappe, but at this moment for sure he’s on top of that list.”

Claudio Ranieri of Watford declares Mohamed Salah as one of the best if not the best

Claudio Ranieri became the head coach of Watford over two weeks ago to stop the club from sinking to the relegation zone. Unfortunately for him, his first job as the coach of the club was to face Liverpool.

Though he has coached Chelsea and has won the Premier League title with Leicester City in 2016, Ranieri has never led a Premier League team to face Mohamed Salah not until on Saturday.

After Salah played a vital role in defeating Watford 4-0, Claudio Ranieri could say nothing but sing praises of Mohamed Salah.

The Italian tactician described the Egyptian winger who is one goal away from scoring 105 goals to become the highest-scoring African player in Premier League history, as one of the best players in the world.

“Mo Salah is one of the best players in the world, if not the best”, Ranieri said. “Everything he touches is a goal.”
