Mo Salah has been the most prolific goal scorer in the Premier League this season, with Diogo Jota also having a strong campaign this year.
After winning 6-0 against Leeds on Wednesday, Liverpool maintained their push for the Premier League crown, setting a new club record in the process.
However, following Sadio Mane’s double against Leeds, the pair have been joined in the top three by their teammate.
Mane also scored a spectacular over-the-head kick against Norwich on Saturday, giving him a total of 11 Premier League goals and one assist so far this season.
In other words, he has one fewer goal contribution than Jota, who has a total of 12.
As a result, both have been exceeded by Salah, who has an astonishing 19 goals and 10 assists this season – no player has been able to match the Egyptian’s totals in any category.
A total of eight assists have been accumulated by Jarrod Bowen, who is ranked second, with Manchester United player Bruno Fernandes completing out the top three assist producers with six assists.
Fernandes is also the fifth-highest goal-scorer in the Premier League this season, having netted nine goals, which is half of his total of 18 goals last season.
In fourth place, Raheem Sterling is one goal and one place ahead of the Portuguese, with the Manchester City squad distributing the goals evenly this season.
This season, though, Liverpool’s lack of a well-known striker has led to the Reds being the league’s top scorers with 70 goals, seven more than second-place Manchester City.
This season, no other club has scored more than 50 goals in the league, with Chelsea coming in second with 49.
