MLS is increasingly becomin popular with football fans around the globe thanks to Lionel Messi’s arrival.
Here, we will take you through MLS all-time topscorers. Josef Martinez and Kei Kamara are the only active players in the top 10. It is possible both could move up to first or second place on the list if they continue to play at a high level.
Wondolowski, Donovan, Moreno, Cunningham, Razov, and Martínez are all retired, but they left behind a legacy as some of the greatest goalscorers in MLS history. They were all prolific strikers who were able to consistently find the back of the net.
Wright-Phillips is still playing, but he is now 37 years old. He is currently in his fifth season with Columbus Crew SC, and he has scored 12 goals in 28 appearances so far this season.
It will be interesting to see if anyone can break Wondolowski’s record of 171 goals. Kamara is the closest active player, but he is still 38 years old. It is possible that a younger player could come along and break the record in the next few years.
