Mikel Arteta has joined an illustrious list of managers, who have defeated every club they have faced in the Premier League.
Following Arsenal’s slim win over Manchester City on Sunday, October 8, 2023, Arteta joined an outstanding list of high-profile coaches, past and present, that have defeated all their Premier League foes.
Mikel Arteta has defeated all 24 teams he has faced in the Premier League, with the latest hurdle being the Cityzens and he found a way to marshall his boys to a victory at the Emirates Stadium.
The Gooners had not beaten Manchester City in the Premier League since 2015, and obviously since Mikel Arteta took over the club, but they did the job on Sunday, October 8, 2023.
The Spaniard was appointed manager of Arsenal on December 20, 2019, and he has led the club to an FA Cup title, and the Community Shield.
He has rejuvenated the club back to success, from staring at damnation to walking into the path of light and prosperity.

Conte managed notable clubs in the Premier League, namely Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur.

He engineered the Reds to the English Premier League title in the 2019/20 season, their first league title since the 1989/90 season.
The German manager has also led Liverpool to win the FA Cup, Carabao Cup (EFL Cup), and Community Shield.
Gordon Strachan – 32 teams
The Scotsman is also on this illustrious list. He managed clubs like Southampton, and Coventry City in the Premier League.
Strachan defeated all 32 Premier League teams he faced as manager, and that has earned him a spot on this list.
Despite his name not being a popular name in the league’s history, his record as a manager in the division would continue to reverberate for ages to come.
He was awarded the Premier League Manager of the Month award on four different occasions; December 1996, February 1998, January 2002, and December 2002.
Brendan Rodgers – 36 teams
Rodgers managed clubs like Swansea City, Liverpool, and Leicester City in the Premier League and also has his name on this list.
Brendan Rodgers has faced 36 teams in the Premier League, and he has picked up victories against all 36.
The Scotsman has had an impressive managerial career and in England, despite not winning the league yet, he has won the FA Cup and FA Community Shield.
Jose Mourinho – 38 teams
One of the greatest managers of all time also makes it to the list. Mourinho has managed only two clubs in the Premier League, notably; Chelsea and Manchester United.
The Portuguese has defeated all 38 teams he has faced in the Premier League, and he has also won several trophies in England.
Jose Mourinho is a 3-time Premier League winner, and he has also won 1 FA Cup title and 3 EFL Cup titles.
Sir Alex Ferguson – 44 teams
The Scotsman who is widely regarded as the greatest manager in Premier League and football history, also makes it to the list.
Ferguson is a man whose name screams success in the Premier League, and he was manager of Manchester United for nearly 27 years.
Sir Alex Ferguson defeated all 44 teams he played against in the Premier League, and he is a man with a trophy cabinet that is stacked with massive honors.
Sir Alex Ferguson won 13 Premier League titles, and he is the most successful manager in the league’s history.
He also won 5 FA Cup titles and 4 English Football League cups.
Arsene Wenger – 46 teams
Wenger is another Premier League icon, and he made his mark in the division with North London club Arsenal.
The Frenchman was manager of the Gunners for 22 years, and he picked up wins against all 46 teams he tutored his side against in the Premier League.
Arsene Wenger was also successful in England, as he won 3 Premier League titles and 7 FA Cups.
Reason for Pep Guardiola’s absence from the list?
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is absent from the list, as a result of him not winning against all the teams he has played against.
Notably, the Cityzens failed to defeat Middlesbrough in both legs during the 2016/17 season, as they shared the spoils with the Championship club in both league outings.
Pep Guardiola’s side drew 1-1 with Boro at the Etihad Stadium, before playing out a 2-2 draw at the Riverside Stadium in the second leg.
