Super Falcons defender, Michelle Alozie, has recently taken to her social media handle to display her husband.
The 26-year-old Super Falcons player has caused social media confusion over her current controversial post.
The Houston Dash utility football player shared a photo of herself with a yet-to-be-identified white lady through her Instagram page during the week.
The picture of the two was supported by the caption “Happy us over them, to my husband”.
The screenshot of the post has been going viral on all social media platforms with numerous Nigerians sharing their vicious thoughts.
A fan noticed the post and lamented with a comment, saying; “Alozie posted her husband who is also the same gender as her, many of us are heartbroken but we just forming hard guys”.
Another supporter by name (@Adolphis) illustrated that they were just friends, the user further explained that it was the other lady’s birthday and urged Nigerians to calm down.
The 26-year-old Super Falcons star instantly replied to @Adolphis’ tweet while she expressed her appreciation to the user for taking the yield of the humour.
Michelle Alozie wrote; “Thank you. I’m glad you understand my humor”.
The Houston Dash footballer later called for composure from her fuming and exceptional fans on X (formally Twitter) while stating that she likes guys in a follow-up tweet.
However, the Nigerian international seemed to soft-pedal the harshness of the Instagram post, meanwhile, she did not categorically distinguish her relationship with the aforementioned white woman.
The 26-year-old Nigerian defender also advised social media users to conduct their analysis on the pressing matters in the world, rather than her sexual life.
Michelle Alozie gained fame in the football world for her talent and beauty, especially after her involvement in a notorious on pitch incident with England and Chelsea star player Lauren James during a match in the 2023 Women’s World Cup round of 16.
The defender has proceeded to establish herself at the club level and has developed herself as a go-to player for the Super Falcons for any match after the just concluded FIFA World Cup.
Alozie was a member of the Super Falcons squad that played in the 2023 Women’s World Cup in New Zealand and Australia.
She participated in all the matches during the competition before Nigeria was knocked out in the second round by England through a penalty shootout.
Michelle Alozie is also a part-time cancer research technician based in the United States, the country she was given birth to by her Imo State parents.
The United States born defender has been a crucial part of the Houston Dash club since the beginning of the American National Women’s Soccer League. She has represented the club 14 times scoring two goals and registering one assist so far this season.
