Superstar Nigerian musician Davido was seen in a video hanging out in Los Angeles with Barcelona forward Memphis Depay.
The former Manchester United attacker, whose debut season with the Blaugrana was marred by injury, facing an unclear future in Spain, was spotted in a good mood with the superstar.
Depay, who is of Ghanaian descent, took advantage of the chance to pay the musician a backstage visit while he was at his American concert.
The two celebrities were seen backstage pumping each other up in a video that was spotted online. Davido welcomed him to Nigeria by alluding to their green outfits while Depay referred to the Nigerian musician as his family.
Depay decided to pay a courtesy call to Davido backstage and filmed the meeting while the footballer was at the singer’s show in the US, not just because their ancestral root is in Africa but also because they are both ambassadors of Puma, a German multinational corporation that designs and manufactures athletic and casual footwear, apparel and accessories.

Before expressing confidence that Davido will steal the show, the footballer also issued a shout-out to Nigerians and Ghanaians.
The singer’s performances on his tour which started on the 16th of June and ended on the 25th of June enthralled his followers in Brooklyn, Toronto, Boston, Chicago, and Los Angeles.
The footballer who has been in three different continents so far this summer enjoyed Davido’s show in Los Angeles as he prepares to link up with Xavi’s FC Barcelona for the kick-off of pre-season ahead of the 2022-2023 season.
Barcelona postpones making a decision over Depay
According to recent reports, Barcelona have not yet decided what course of action to take with Memphis Depay ahead of the 2022-2023 season.
Depay moved to the Cataliants from Ligue 1 club Lyon last summer, but his first season in La Liga has been plagued by ailments. The 28-year-old attacker from the Netherlands scored just 12 goals for Barcelona last season and might be moved after just one campaign if the Spanish giants accept an unbeatable offer for him.
Memphis Depay confirms that God spoke to him and told him to travel to Ghana
As we previously reported, the forward Memphis Depay, who was born in the Netherlands but has Ghanaian ancestry, feels that God guided his choice to move to Ghana.
Memphis, who was raised by a Ghanaian father and a Dutch mother, has made it a summertime tradition to travel to the West African nation.
Depay days in the country and participated in a variety of activities, including meeting Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo, the first gentleman of the land.
