Mason Greenwood has been caught training as he continues to learn what decisions Manchester United have made on his future.

The 21-year-old Man United academy product was filmed being put through his rates by trainers with conversations over his fate arriving at their final phase.

The England international was seen with a football as his 53-year-old father named Andrew carried the player’s newborn child.

Greenwood recently revealed that he and his partner Harriet Robson have a child together and were getting married soon.

Greenwood adhered to the exercises prescribed for him by the United coaches monitoring his development.

The English star, who makes £75,000 a week, has not participated in team games or team training since his arrest in January of last year.

However, high-level conversations at Old Trafford are almost done.

What happened to Mason Greenwood?

The forward, who has progressed through the Old Trafford levels, hasn’t played since his arrest in January of last year on charges of attempted rape, assault, and coercive control.

The Crown Prosecution Service dismissed the allegations in February, but uncertainty over his future in English football has persisted.

Greenwood, who has 35 goals for the Red Devils, recently became a parent and was practicing his shooting routines with his dad in attendance at a public training facility.

Following the dismissal of Greenwood’s accusations, United commenced a five-month internal inquiry, and a decision regarding their future line of action is now about to be made.

The 21-year-old was released by Nike as a result of the accusations, and he wasn’t working out in boots made by the illustrious company. In his first outing in front of the public, Greenwood was initially sighted working out in June.

Following the dismissal of accusations, including an attempted rape, Greenwood has the support of the team’s players and manager Erik ten Hag.

An insiders who spotted Greenwood in training said: “Mason is working harder than ever on the training pitch”.

“He’s desperate to return to the side as soon as possible and wants to put the last 18 months behind him”.

“Talks about his future are in the final phase and the players and the manager are behind him”.

The insider added; “The only thing that remains to be decided is whether he returns to first-team action or goes out on a season-long loan”.

Before playing Wolves on Monday in their season-opening Premier League match, Manchester United‘s managers want to make a decision.

Mason Greenwood made his United debut when United defeated PSG on a renowned Champions League night in March 2019.

The teenage forward, who scored 29 goals across his two most productive seasons, was a regular in the following two seasons as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer continued to support him during his stint as Man United’s head coach.

Before making his debut in September against Iceland, the attacker was first named in an England team in 2020. But after breaking Covid rules and being let off from the squad, he got himself into trouble.

There are four alternatives, but it is unclear which one United would choose.

The terms of Greenwood’s contract might be canceled, he could be sold or loaned out, or he could rejoin the first team.

He has a current deal with the Old Trafford team through 2025, with an option for another year.
