Mystery rapper Dide has claimed to be a Premier League player and has given some clue to his true identity behind the mask.
Dide released a song named ‘Thrill’ in April and had fans trying to uncover which top-flight player might be behind the mask.
Well, Iwobi and the likes of Eddie Nketiah, Bukayo Saka, and Jadon Sancho have all been linked to the mystery rapper.
Dide in his songs has made statements like ‘sees seven figures’ and also stated that he plays for a team that ‘stays winning’.
Dide, who spoke for the first time in front of a camera, told Sky Sports that Manchester City are currently the best team in the league with Luton being the worst.
In this new season, just four teams have played against Luton Town at their Kenilworth Road stadium – West Ham, Burnley, Wolves, and Tottenham.
The rapper behind the mask also stated that the best player he played against was ex-Chelsea winger Eden Hazard.
He also noted that his all-time favorite player was former Arsenal, Barcelona, Monaco, and France international Thierry Henry.
Well, these revelations would probably be the clue to finding out the real identity of Dide – the mystery rapper.
In the interview with Sky Sports, Dide said: “A lot of us go into the studio just for fun, but no one really knows how far it’s gone.”
“They ask me, like, ‘Oh, is it you? But just the same way that it can be me, it could be someone else.”
“So there’s no real one thing that would make it be, you know, one football player. As the music comes out, it will kind of make sense. Maybe I might reveal myself in the future. Who knows?”
In an interview earlier this month, he said: “I train in the morning or the afternoon, depending on the schedule. In the evening, we have a lot of downtime as football players, and instead of going out, going shopping, and all these other things that some players do, I prefer to stay at home and relax.”
“I just kind of took the gamble to release it, and then obviously, the rest is history. I just feel that especially in football,” Dide added.
Dide also went on to add: “Here’s always people with different opinions, and I feel like, when we’re listening to music, you always want to have a face to the music that’s being played.”
While we are still in limbo as to who the rapper is, it will be amazing to find out he is a player in the top four teams in the Premier League.
Given the clues of his earnings and playing in a team that keeps winning, three teams come to mind – Man City, Arsenal, and Liverpool.
That’s why Eddie Nketiah, Bukayo Saka including Alex Iwobi and Jadon Sancho makes the list of players who may be behind the masked rapper.
While we wait, Dide once said when asked if he will reveal his true identity and he said: “Who knows? In the future, maybe I’ll show my face. Maybe even the next song I’ll show my face.
