Masked burglars invaded the home of the manager of Everton football club, Carlo Ancelotti, according to Merseyside police.

In a statement the police issued today, February 13, the masked burglars invaded the house of the 61-year-old veteran coach on Friday evening, February 12, 2021.

According to the statement, the masked burglars who invaded Carlo Ancelotti’s home which is located on Hall Road East, Crosby, Merseyside, were two in number. Though they successfully made away with a safe, they didn’t hurt any occupant of the house.

Though the police statement did not reveal that the house belonged to Ancelotti, viral reports confirmed that the house belonged to the veteran coach. However, it was not confirmed whether Ancelotti was home or not when the masked burglars invaded the house.

The police said: “We are appealing for information after a safe was stolen in a burglary in Crosby on Friday evening (February 12).

“We were called at 6.35 pm to a report two males had entered a property on Hall Road East at around 6.30 pm.

“The offenders were described as wearing black waterproof clothing, possibly with white writing on, and black balaclavas.

“The occupants of the house were unharmed.

“Officers attended and inquiries into the incident are ongoing. The property will be forensically examined and CCTV opportunities are being explored.”

As of the time of publishing this report, Carlo Ancelotti has not made any public statement regarding the masked burglars. He is currently preparing Everton to face Fulham in the Premier League on Sunday, February 14, at 20:00.

The last time he used his Twitter handle was on February 11, 2021, after Everton dramatically knocked out Tottenham Hotspur from the FA Cup in a 5-4 thriller.

So far this season, Carlo Ancelotti has led Everton to 11 victories, 4 draws, and 6 defeats. His input has helped Everton to settle on the 7th spot on the league table with 37 points in 21 league games.

If the Merseyside club wins over Fulham on Sunday, the club could climb as high as the 5th spot pending the outcome of other league games scheduled for this weekend.
