Mario Balotelli has terminated his contract with Swiss club FC Sion and he is now a free agent, according to reports.
Balotelli joined Sion on August 31, 2022, from Turkish club Adana Demirspor for a fee of €2.6 million.
He made 19 appearances for the Swiss Challenge League club, scoring 6 goals and providing no assists across all competitions.
Mario Balotelli couldn’t help FC Sion keep their place in the top-tier division, as they finished bottom in the Super League last season, after amassing 31 points from 36 games.
Ultimately, Stade Lausanne-Ouchy defeated them by 6-2 on aggregate to confirm their relegation to the Swiss Super League.

Balotelli managed only 6 league goals last season for FC Sion, and he is now in search of another club to strut his stuff for the 2023/24 season.

Due to his qualities, he was signed by Inter Milan on August 31, 2006, from Lumezzane for €360,000.
Balotelli had an impressive spell with the Nerazzurri, scoring 28 goals and providing 15 assists in 86 appearances for the club between 2007 and 2010.
