Arsenal football club are reportedly making efforts to sign Marcus Rashford from Manchester United in the coming summer transfer window.
Recall that since Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang left Arsenal for FC Barcelona on January 31, 2022, the Premier League side have been hunting for a replacement for the Gabonese star.
Things are looking more complicated for Arsenal’s coach Mikel Arteta especially in his attack department as two of his attackers, Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah will be out of contract this summer.
As things stand, it is not looking likely that the North London side will be willing to renew the contracts of Lacazette and Nketiah but are looking out for new forwards.
Reports claimed that Arsenal have added Marcus Rashford to their list of strikers they intend to sign in the coming summer transfer window.
The 24-year-old English forward has not been enjoying the best of his football career in recent times. He had lost his place in the club’s first eleven.
Aside from the fact that he has lost his form and his place in coach Ralf Rangnick’s squad, Marcus Rashford has also lost his place in the hearts of most Manchester United fans.
Recall that after Atletico Madrid knocked out Manchester United from the UEFA Champions League campaign at Old Trafford on March 15, 2022, Marcus Rashford reportedly showed United fans at Old Trafford the middle finger which did not go down well for most fans of the club.
The out-of-favor England international reportedly showed the fans the middle finger for criticizing him due to his drop of form.
On the contrary, Rishford explained that he did not show the fans the middle finger but used his fingers to beckon them to talk to him one on one.

Despite his explanation, most fans of the club are still not happy with him. Hence, his drop in form and the fans’ criticism could force him out of United soonest.
According to a report by a United Kingdom publication, the Mirror, Manchester United are willing to sell Marcus Rashford to any interested club cheaply.
