Marcus Rashford lambasts “nonsense” Manchester United deal speculations

    Marcus Rashford has fired back at speculations insinuating that he is requesting a £500,000-a-week deal from Manchester United. 

    Rashford has been in magnificent form for Manchester United this campaign with 27 goals in all competitions thus far. 

    But the Englishman would enter the last year of his deal with Manchester United this campaign, implying that he could possibly exit the club on a free if a new contract is not agreed. 

    Information circulating on Thursday asserted that Rashford is holding out for a new deal that is valued above £500,000 a week once bonuses are added.

    But it is believed that Manchester United are hesitant to table a new deal for the English International until the club’s possible takeover matter is sorted. 

    Marcus Rashford, nevertheless, has termed the speculations as “nonsense” and he stated that he has been “respectful” to Manchester United throughout negotiation talks. 

    Replying to the reports on Twitter, Rashford wrote: “Just before this one starts to do the rounds! It’s complete nonsense.

    “The club and myself have been respectful to one another, and that’s how it will remain.

    “My focus is purely on finishing as well as possible in the league and winning trophies.” 

    The lethal poacher of this campaign also stated on Instagram as he wrote: “Another non-story flying around about my advisers and me making demands.

    “It’s complete nonsense! My aim and the club’s aims are to finish as high as possible in the league and try and win a cup or two.” 

    The 25-year-old has been Manchester United’s main source of goals this campaign and he has not relented in providing the goods when needed.

    Rashford has assisted Manchester United to a Carabao Cup title this campaign alongside a Semi-final spot in the FA Cup, the Old Trafford club are also still in the quarter-final of the UEFA Europa League. 

    All hands are also on deck to ensure that the English heavyweights finish in a position “high as possible” in the Premier League as Rashford also stated on instagram. 

    The Englishman has netted 120 goals in 347 appearances for Manchester United since he graduated from the academy of the English side. 

    He is the 4th highest goalscorer this campaign in the English Premier League as he has accumulated 14 goals.

    His 27 goals numbers this season has also been his best return since the start of his career and he has massive appreciations to give Benni McCarthy and Erik Ten Hag for how they have made him more sharper in front of goal. 

    The Mancunian attacker has won the Carabao Cup on two occasions alongside the UEFA Europa League, FA Cup and Community Shield so far with Manchester United. 

    For England, Marcus Rashford has netted 15 goals in 51 games for the Three Lions of England.
