    Marcus Rashford of Manchester United leads the chart of the most goals scorer since the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar ended.

    Marcus Rashford continued his fine form at Old Trafford on Sunday, 19th of February, 2023, as he fire Manchester United to victory by seeing the back of the net two times against Leicester City

    Since the World Cup wrapped up on December 18, 2022, no player in Europe’s top five leagues has scored more goals in all competitions than Marcus Rashford, the Manchester United number 10 has scored a shocking 16 goals in 17 matches.

    Following the England international header against Leeds United last weekend which saw Man United cruise to victory, the 25 year old has proven to be the best goal scorers among Europe’s elite players.

    Marcus Rashford fires a rocket goal past Barcelona’s Marc Andre ter Stegen, the so-called ‘Wall of La Liga”, on Thursday, 16th of February, 2023, in the Europa League play-off. Thereafter, Barcelona head coach Xavi Hernandez labeled him as one of the most dangerous players in Europe.

    Interestingly, Liverpool, Chelsea and other 13 English Premier League clubs have scored lesser goals than Marcus Rashford alone since European football returned after the conclusion of the World Cup in Qatar.

    Because of Rashford’s contributions, Manchester United are now only five points behind Arsenal and three points behind second-placed Manchester City in the Premier League. United can’t be written off just yet in the title race, as they have the best offensive player in Europe.

    In this article, Futball News will reveal some of the European goal scorers who are currently in fine form after the 2022 World Cup.

    Karim Benzema

    The Real Madrid striker is Rashford’s closest competitor in terms of goals in 2023.

    The former France international was a member of Didier Deschamps’ Les Bleus squad, but he was injured in training and had to leave the camp before the competition began.

    Benzema’s agent, Karim Djaziri claimed that his client was healthy and ready to play in the vast majority of the tournaments, but that Deschamps overlooked him.

    After announcing his retirement from the national team after the World Cup final, Benzema has scored 10 goals for Real Madrid, including a goal in the Club World Cup final.

    Erling Haaland

    As of the restart of club football, Erling Haaland is tied for fourth with eight other players in goals scored.

    Since returning from a six-week break, Manchester City’s Norwegian goal gobbler, who didn’t make it to the World Cup in the Middle East, has seen his extraordinary scoring rate drop.

    Victor Osimhen;

    Marcus Rashford is followed closely by the other in-form forwards on the list, which includes Victor Osimhen. Napoli’s top scorer has scored in each of his previous seven league games, a record that is the longest by any Italian player in the Serie A since the introduction of the three-points-for-a-win rule in 1994/95.

    With just 15 matches left in the season, Napoli has a remarkable 15-point advantage atop the Serie A table thanks to Osimhen’s hot streak.

    Ben Yedder of Monaco also has a respectable stat line, with just three other players in the league having a higher record, in Monaco’s 3-1 victory over Paris Saint-Germain, the constantly underrated striker scored his eighth and ninth goals since the World Cup.
