But the 34-year-old German has constantly faced some challenges posed by the best legs in world football and he has been outstanding in those tests, but he has pulled the legs of some best forwards in the world, welcoming their threats.

The 2014 FIFA World Cup winner has described challenges posed by Juventus talisman, Cristiano Ronaldo as the most terrific, tagging as a European foe.

Cristiano Ronaldo challenged Bayern Munich’s Manuel Neuer

“The difference is that I know Cristiano Ronaldo better than many others from our many duels. I’m not saying: ‘Oh, here comes Ronaldo, I must be scared” he attested

“Don’t get me wrong, I’m not keen on situations like this, I’m primarily thinking of the team, but if I can prove myself, I want to be there.” He added

Neuer is tagged as a role model in goalkeeping duties- one of the best goalkeepers in the world. He booked his place in the FIFA Pro 11 last year and he was named Germany’s player of the year 2020.

He is known for saving the ball with his foot with his hand long before ball playing choices between the goalposts

“The striker is the first defender, they always say – I think the goalkeeper should be the first attacker these days.” He said

Neuer has taken it as a responsibility to “control the space behind the defence” as an alternate player, with his efforts at the backline letting defenders in front of him to reserve their energies for other tasking jobs

“The fact that I am practically an energy saver for the team in this way is one of many positive aspects to this side.”

Manuel Neuer is in the quest to win a sextet in the 2020/21 season as Hansi Flick’s side seek to defend their Bundesliga and Champions League crowns.
