Manuel Akanji of Manchester City has taken time out to celebrate his 4-year-old son Aayden Malik with a heartfelt message on Instagram.

Akanji, the Switzerland defender took to his verified Instagram handle to post a picture of Malik in which the 4-year-old was seen donning a Manchester City shirt.

The former Borussia Dortmund player posted the photo with a lovely message, he wrote; “Happy 4th Birthday to our big boy, we are really proud of you and love you so much”.

However, the former FC Basel defender took fans by surprise as he decided to cover the boy’s face with a blue love emoji, which left many asking why he had covered the boy’s face.

The 28-year-old and his partner Melanie welcomed Aayden Malik to the world on May 10, 2020.
