The image he shared had him and his partner Melanie standing with their three year old son whose face was covered with a heart emoji.

Akanji wore a grey shirt while Melanie wore a black gown as she smiled to the camera whilst carrying their second child.

Aayden Malik – their first son – on the other hand was playing with a candy in hand while looking at his Spiderman-themed cake.

In the image, it can also been seen that the background was designed in a black, blue and red balloons which represented the superhero’s colors.

Manuel Akanji captioned the image he posted with: “Happy birthday Aayden We love to see you grow day by day and are really proud to call you our son! #3yearsold.”

Manchester City fans were worried when Real Madrid hosted the sky blue army in the Champions League semifinal with Akanji playing left back.

The two sides locked horns at the Santiago Bernabeu on Tuesday (May 9) as City looked to gain revenge for last season’s heartbreak.

They were beaten 6-5 on aggregate after a remarkable comeback from Los Blancos in the semifinals.

Akanji had a decent game despite not playing in his natural position as the game ended 1-1.

The Swiss defender has played in 42 matches across competitions, providing one assist and helping his side keep 18 clean sheets.

There he agreed to a deal that will see him remain at the club until June 2022. The defender scored his first goal for the club as Dortmund beat FC Nürnberg 7-0 in September 2022.

Akanji received harsh criticism for his expensive mistakes during Dortmund’s unsuccessful 2019–20 season campaign against Bayern.

He was one of the major players identified as the weak link in the Dortmund’s team in that season.
