Rashford was allegedly involved in an accident on Saturday, September 23, 2023, as he was returning to his home after Manchester United’s 1-0 away win over Burnley.

The collision plunged his 2.5-ton vehicle which has a max speed of 155 mph, into a traffic light camera post.

Rashford was fortunate to leave the scene unhurt, and he was thoroughly examined by a club doctor.

The 74-year-old woman whose car he collided with was reportedly in a disturbed state due to the incident but she also gracefully left the scene unhurt.

Police would conduct no further investigation over the car crash involving Marcus Rashford

Police in Manchester revealed on Monday, September 25, 2023, that they will not be doing any further investigation, having examined both drivers to see if it was an issue of drinking and driving.

Reports indicate that the accident is now a case for insurers to take charge of and not the police.

Marcus Rashford was absent from Manchester United training on Sunday, September 24, 2023, possibly as he was still recovering from the shock.

None of the parties involved in the accident were hurt

However, Mason Mount and Harry Maguire were seen in training, and they will be hoping for first-team action in the Carabao Cup clash against Crystal Palace slated for Tuesday, September 26, 2023.

Manchester United are heading into that game as defending champions of the competition, having defeated Newcastle United in the final played in February 2023.

Despite their shaky start to the 2023/24 season, they have their eyes focused on defeating Roy Hodgson’s side.

Meanwhile, following the encounter against Vincent Kompany’s Burnley, Marcus Rashford took to Instagram to pacify his supporters.

His post on Instagram read: “3 points on the road! I’m alright guys thanks for the messages.”

Reports indicate that Rashford instantly checked up on the aged woman to see if she was in a stable condition, and they also shared their contact details.

Manchester United stars bashed for reckless driving

Moreover, Manchester United stars have been lambasted for driving rashly close to their Carrington training center.

Engineer Laycock Peter, who resides close to the club’s training ground, has expressed his concern over the player’s way of driving.

He revealed that his fiancee, who goes by the name Amy, almost got hit by one of the players of Manchester United.

Peter said: “We see them on this road every day.

“Amy contacted the club because she wasn’t happy with how some of the younger players were driving. One nearly hit her.”

He also added that his fiancee had informed the club about it, and she was told that her message would be delivered.
