Futballnews understands that United is set to put up stars like Jadon Sancho, Harry Maguire and Anthony Martial for sale in this summer transfer window.

This move by United is so as to give manager Erik ten Hag more spending power in the transfer market.

Erik Ten Hag has seen his budget cut down to around £120m due to Financial Fair Play restrictions as he looks to sign a midfielder, a striker and a goalkeeper.

This limited budget and FFP rules is one of the reasons Manchester United are lagging behind in signing Chelsea’s Mason Mount who costs £65m.

Red Devils search for a striker has been marred by the valuations put on Tottenham’s Harry Kane, Victor Osimhen of Napoli and Atalanta’s Rasmus Hojlund.

Manchester United have also held talks with Inter Milan and Cameroun goalkeeper Andre Onana who would cost around £40m.

The Old Trafford club is hoping that selling some of the current squad will raise at least £50m and possibly even £100m to re-invest.

Recent reports have it that the football industry have dismissed any suggestion of a fire sale and it’s understood there is no prospect of all 13 of the available United players leaving.

For players such as Sancho, Martial, Maguire and Scott McTominay, it’s understood that none of them are being forced out of Old Trafford.

Manchester United are reportedly happy to allow these players stay at Old Trafford and fight for the places in the starting line up.

There will be a massive space to be filled up next season, should any of these aforementioned players depart the club this summer.

United are set to listen to offers worth £45m for Sancho who has struggled to make an impact since signing from Borussia Dortmund for £73m two years ago.

Harry Maguire on the other hand will cost about £40m despite joining United for £80m from Leicester in 2019.

Maguire, who made eight Premier League appearances last season, fell off the pecking order for new manager Ten Hag.

Although he doesn’t regularly start for Manchester United in the league, he still remains a regular player in the England National team.

Antony Martial on the other hand is entering the final year of his contract and the Red devils would be asking for around £25m for the Frenchman.

Martial performed well under Erik Ten Hag after his loan spell at Sevilla, but a spate of injuries limited his availability last season.

McTominay is one player that is highly valued at United after he moved from the youth system to the senior team.

But with the arrival of midfielders Casemiro and Christian Eriksen last summer, his opportunities in the starting line up has been limited.

The Scotland midfielder was previously a target for Newcastle in January and Manchester United would be looking for £40m to sell the player.

Goalkeeper Dean Henderson is another who falls into the category of players United will let go if a good offer comes for him.

Henderson was previously linked with a permanent move to Nottingham Forest worth £15m plus add-ons if David de Gea signs a new contract.

But as it stands now, David de Gea’s future is more uncertain than ever with just a few days to go before his current deal comes to an end.

Manchester United want to sign a new goalkeeper and Onana is highly rated by Ten Hag after working with the Dutchman at Ajax.

The rest of the players that would be let go by United includes midfielders Fred and Donny van de Beek, and Sweden striker Anthony Elanga.

Alex Telles and Eric Bailly, who both spent last season out on loan, can go for £10m and £2m with Brandon Williams valued at around £5m.

Hannibal Mejbri is reported to cost about £13m, and United have already agreed to sell Zidane Iqbal to Utrecht for £850,000 plus significant add-ons.
