    Manchester United Players set out time to celebrate with Cristiano Ronaldo as he bagged his 700th club career goal.

    The 37-year-old Portuguese forward attained the remarkable landmark after gifting Manchester United an away victory against Everton in their Premier League clash on Sunday, October 9, 2022, netting a low left-footed effort beyond Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford to make it 2-1 for United.

    The goal was amazing, it brought back the Ronaldo of seven or eight years ago, grabbing the ball in and around the halfway line and blazing it with his left foot. It’s well a deserved winning goal and suitable to mark the 700th goal of Ronaldo’s illustrious club career.

    As expected, on Monday, October 10, the whole United squad got together to celebrate and pay tribute to Ronaldo as they posed for a group picture inside the dressing room at their Carrington training ground.

    The dressing room was adorned with giant balloons forming the number “700”.
    More so, United presented Ronaldo with a special jersey with “Ronaldo 700” written on the back.

    After the victory over Everton on Sunday evening, Cristiano Ronaldo took to his Instagram page to celebrate his team’s win but did not speak of his achievement.

    The 37-year-old Portuguese star dedicated his goal to Manchester United fans, as he posted a snapshot of himself pointing to the traveling Red Devils supporters at Goodison Park with the caption “This is for you.”

    Ronaldo wrote: “Great win guys! Another step in the right direction! #WeStandUnited”

    Afterward, Ronaldo took to his Instagram page to celebrate himself for being the first footballer to score 700 club goals. He wrote: 700 club goals. What a beautiful number we’ve achieved together! Thank you to all my teammates, coaches, clubs, family & friends and of course my fans. United we continue!”

    Subsequently, after the match, other United stars like Antony Martial, Bruno Fernandes, and United coach Erik ten Hag showered praises on the five-time Ballon d’Or winner.

    United boss, Erik ten Hag hailed the all-time United legend for the stunning goal and his contributions so far.

    Ten Hag said: “I’m happy for him, I congratulate him on that performance and I’m also happy it’s his first goal this season in the Premier League – he had to wait for it and I’m sure there will be more goals.”


    Similarly, Micky Gray, a correspondent of Talk Sport applauded Ronaldo for his unwavering devotion even amidst series of frustration the legend encountered with Manchester United.


    Gray said: “It’s just mind-boggling, and it’s testament to himself, the way he conducts himself, the way he looks after himself throughout the whole of his career.


    “Of course, at the beginning of the season he showed frustration and wanted to leave Manchester United, but he’s there, and when he’s called upon he comes up with the big goals.”


    Gray further alleged that Ronaldo’s achievement is unbelievable and doubts whether any other player could level up with him.

    He said: “What this guy has achieved in his career… he was down and out, his legs have gone, he’s not going to play for Man United, well he’s just picked them up three points at Goodison Park because of a fantastic finish!


    “It’s incredible what the man has achieved. Nobody can doubt anything Cristiano Ronaldo has achieved in his career.”
