Manchester United are reportedly planning to table a “player-plus-cash-deal” to sign Harry Kane from Tottenham.
According to ESPN, Tottenham are interested in Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson and the Red Devils are set to leverage on the interest and bargain their way through for Harry Kane.
Manchester United have been eyeing the prolific Three Lions forward and captain to boost the Red Devils’ attack as the club dressed up the United attack for next season Premier League title challenge.
Tottenham have been reluctant on letting Harry Kane leave after the latter’s exploit with the club this season.
Despite the club’s inconsistent form this season, Harry Kane has scored 21 times in 28 Premier League appearances for the club.
He is the club’s all-time highest goal scorer with 271 goals, five goals more than Jimmy Hargreaves, who had held the record for decades before the England captain broke it this season.
Harry Kane has a year-and-a-half remaining in his Tottenham contract and there are projections the London club may likely part way with the top-rated striker for £100m instead of losing him as a free agent after next season.
Meanwhile, the club is also eyeing a move for in-form Manchester United loanee to Nottingham Forest Dean Henderson with Hugo Lloris’ contract set to expire at the end of the season.
The London club wants a long-term replacement for Hugo Lloris’ and are plotting a move for Dean Henderson whose loan spell at Nottingham Forest will expire at the end of the season.
Dean Henderson fell out of favor under Erik Ten Hag and was loaned out to the Bees.
The England goalkeeper has been in top shape for the Bees and have blasted United for deceiving him by promising enough game time only to have him play second fiddle to David de Gea and losing his berth with England national team.
At the City Ground, Dean Henderson has made 18 appearances for Nottingham Forest since joining on loan. He will be eager for Man United exit after his loan tenure expires.
With Tottenham looking for a permanent replacement for 36-year-old Hugo Lloris’, Dean Henderson could be enroute to awaken his Premier League career.
Meanwhile, ESPN reports Manchester United are hoping to seize the opportunity and offer a “player-plus-cash-deal” to push the move for Harry Kane.
It could be a win-win situation for Manchester United and Dean Henderson should Tottenham push on with the deal.
Apart form Harry Kane, the Red Devils are also eyeing high-profile youngsters doing wonders in top clubs in Europe.
Eintract Frankfurt’s Kolo Muani and Napoli’s Victor Osimhen are high-profile targets for Erik Ten Hag next summer.
The club are ready to race against Chelsea for Victor Osimhen and Bayern Munich and PSG for Kolo Muani.
Muani has 16 goals and 14 assists for Eintracht Frankfurt while Victor Osimhen is Serie A top scorer with 24 goals this season.
