    Manchester United are not at the same level as Premier League reigning champions, Liverpool football club, according to United’s midfielder Paul Pogba.

    The France international noted this two days to the top of the table encounter between United and Liverpool at Anfield. According to him, the present set of United’s players would have to win the league before United can be at the same level as Liverpool.

    On January 17, at 17:30, Liverpool’s Anfield Stadium will be on fire as two of the main Premier League title contenders for this season will meet to prove their title credentials.

    Manchester United have been showing an astounding form which has lifted them from below the league table to the top of the table after recording 15 away unbeaten run. But they are coming against the reigning Premier League champions that are yet to suffer a league defeat at Anfield.

    “We have improved a lot, we keep improving but we still have a very young team”, Paul Pogba told Sky Sports ahead of the Liverpool vs Manchester United game.

    “We cannot say now we are at the same level as them because they won the Premier League and keep winning so the day we win – that is when we say we are at the same level.

    “If you want to be the best you have to beat the best. We want to beat the Premier League winners.”

    Meanwhile, Bruno Fernandes of Manchester United has won the Premier League player of the month (December). This is the 4th time the 26-year-old Portuguese midfielder has won the award since he joined Manchester United from Sporting Lisbon in January 2020.
