A human remains, wrapped in plastic have been uncovered by Manchester Police close to Manchester United training ground at Salford.
In a report shared by the Mirror, Deputy Superintendent of Manchester Police Lewis Hughes confirmed the incident, describing it as ‘disturbing.’
An investigation has begun to uncover other necessary details connected to the incident.
Meanwhile, there are projections the found corpse must have been murdered by an unknown assailant and buried to cover up the heinous human crime.
Lewis Hughes confirmed the services of an autopsy will be needed to examine the possible cause of the death but local residents have been asked to assist the police in the investigations by sharing information on the incident if there is any.
However, movement to and fro the cliff where the human remains was unearthed has been restricted, as per police sources.
According to the Mirror, Manchester United’s old training ground is located on the cliff on which the human remains was unearthed.
United reportedly bought the cliff in 1938, and built the training ground for first-team footballing activities but later quit the facility in 2000 through the auspices of the legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson.
However, the facility was not moribund and was actively in use by Manchester United academy teams.
Manchester United have been reportedly contacted but have yet to comment on the incident
