Manchester City are set to reward Phil Foden’s with a whooping offer after the latter’s prolific campaign with the club in the 2023-24 Premier League.

The 2023-24 Player of The Season starred for Manchester City as the Premier League giants eased to a record consecutive fourth Premier League title.

Following an impressive and remarkable career trail, the club is now set to call the youngster to the negotiation table for a new contract, as per The Sun.

Foden penned down a five-year contract with Manchester City in 2022. He has three years left on the deal. Sources close to City report the club fears losing the attacking midfielder to European rivals who must have spotlighted the footballing sensation following a groundbreaking 2023-24 campaign, hence the decision to tie him down with a new attractive offer.

Foden earns a moderate weekly wage of £200,000 from his current contract. Now, the England forward could see the wage nears a double. The report from The Sun adds Manchester City are ready to pay the exciting young talent as much as £375,000 in the proposed new deal. Also, should the two parties reach an agreement, Foden will end up staying at City till 2030 as a six-year offer is being proposed.

A £375,000 weekly offer will make Foden the highest-paid British – a rank that is currently occupied by Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford, who signed a mega £365,000-a-week contract with Manchester United in the 2022-23 season.

The new wage offer will also see Foden close ranks with Manchester City’s highest-paid players like Kevin De Bruyne and Erling Haaland, who earn £400,000 and £375,000 each week, respectively.

In the just-concluded 2023-24 season, Foden made 35 Premier League appearances for Manchester City, scoring 19 goals with 8 assists to win the Premier League Player of The Season Award. Foden became the first England player to win 6 Premier League titles at the age of 24 after he helped City clinch their seventh Premier League title.
