In a recent interview, Manchester City striker Erling Haaland claimed he would have become a wielder or farmer if not for football.
Haaland had been seen countless times on his father’s farm, feeding cows and taking milk from them.
He was also asked in an interview, “Who is his best friend at Manchester City? Haaland claimed he loved Jack Grealish so much among all the Manchester City players.
He was also asked who the best player he had ever played with was, and Haaland said “Kevin De Bruyne”. The Belgian had created more assists than any other player at Manchester City.
Both players have caused havoc on their opponents defenses in all competitions.
Erling Haaland claims Martin Odegaard should have won the Football Writers’ Footballer of the Year.
Erling Haaland suggested that his national teammates and Arsenal midfielder Odegaard should have won the Best Football Writers Footballer of the Year ahead of him.
Haaland earned 82 percent of the votes to win the FWA award, ahead of Martin Odegaard and Bukayo Saka.
In an interview, the player was asked who was expected to receive the award except for him. He said,
“If I had to pick another player to have won Player of the Year, I would say my Norwegian friend, Martin Odegaard, has had a really good season.
“There are also other teammates that could have easily won it because there are a lot of players in the Manchester City team that have been outstanding this season.
In addition, he mentioned his teammate Rodri, saying
“If you watch all of our games, you will see that Rodri has just been so solid throughout the whole season.”
“I think sometimes he is a bit hidden because he is in midfield and he’s the one pulling everything together. I don’t want to say too many names, but maybe it could have been one of them.”
The Manchester City striker won the award on May 25, 2023, after an astonishing first season at the club. The striker scored 52 goals in all competitions.
He is the highest goal scorer in the Premier League with 36 goals from 37 matches. The striker broke Alan Shearer’s long-time record of 34 goals in a season.
However, the player is still in shock after breaking the Shearer record in his first season.
Erling Haaland remains one of the most important players in the Manchester City squad, which is looking forward to winning the treble at the end of the season.
If Haaland wins the triple, he is likely to be in contention for the Ballon d’Or award.
It will be very difficult to stop Manchester City, which many have linked to the Barcelona sextuple team in the 2009-10 season.
