Newcastle United forward Alexander Isak has recently had his home targeted by burglars, making him the latest Premier League footballer to have his home burgled.

The incident occurred just 48 hours before he played against Fulham on Saturday, April 6.

This is the second time in 2024 a Newcastle player has been targeted by burglars. Recall that Joelinton of Newcastle suffered a break-in back in January.

Security operatives are currently investigating both cases to determine if they are connected.

According to The Sun, Northumbria Police were notified of the break-in at the forward’s home in Northumberland at 10 pm on Thursday.

It is believed that the gang entered the four-bedroom property through the rear patio doors earlier in the evening.

However, it is unclear whether the 24-year-old Isak or any of his family members were present at the time, and the number of items taken is unknown.

According to The Sun, a car was reported stolen and later found abandoned three miles away.

The reports further stated that a security van with dogs was at the house, and a neighbor mentioned that the police were still investigating the incident as a break-in.

Northumbria Police stated that their investigation is ongoing and urged anyone with information to come forward.

The Sun reported the statement of a neighbor saying: “Police are still piecing it together, but he was broken into.”

Northumbria Police said: “Enquiries remain ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact us.”

On the other hand, in January, Brazilian star Joelinton was at St James’ Park watching Newcastle lose to Manchester City when burglars targeted his mansion.

According to reports, three thieves broke in, searched through his fiancée’s designer handbags, and attempted to steal watches and jewelry.

The footballer’s partner, Thays Gondim, and their three children were not home at the time but were alerted by security apps on their phones.

However, the intruders had already left by the time police arrived at their home in Ponteland.

Meanwhile, Gangs also targeted England football stars such as Jack Grealish, Raheem Sterling, and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain by taking advantage of their empty homes while they were away for fixtures.

In one incident, thieves raided Jack Grealish’s £5.6million Cheshire property, making off with £1million in watches and gems while he was playing for Man City.

Raheem Sterling had £300,000 worth of designer watches stolen from his home in Surrey while he was at the World Cup in Qatar in 2022.

In the same vein, Manchester United’s Victor Lindelof had burglars ransack his Manchester home, forcing his wife and children to lock themselves in a panic room.

In addition, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and his fiancee, Perrie Edwards, were robbed in Wilmslow, Cheshire, in the same year.

What’s next for Alexander Isak?

Isak, who have scored 19 goals for Newcastle United this season will next be seen in premier league action against Tottenham on Saturday, April 13 at St James’ Park with kickoff scheduled for 12:30 pm.
