Liverpool have tabled a staggering bid of €200 million to Paris Saint Germain for Kylian Mbappe, according to reports.
The Reds are looking to beat Real Madrid in the race to acquire the Frenchman’s signature.
Mbappe’s future at the Parc Des Princes is uncertain, with PSG’s president Nasser Al-Khalaifi having handed the 2022 FIFA World Cup Golden boot winner an ultimatum on the 5th of July, 2023.
Kylian Mbappe’s deal with the Paris based club comes to an end next summer and the Frenchman has maintained that he isn’t renewing his deal with the club.
Due to these realities, Liverpool are looking to convince the 24-year-old to join the Anfield club.
It appears Paris Saint Germain don’t want to lose Mbappe for free next summer and they will reportedly sanction his sale, if the amount offered meets their asking price.
Real Madrid still remain the favorites to acquire the former Monaco man, however, they will reportedly face fierce competition from Liverpool.
Los Blancos are cautious regarding the deal for Kylian Mbappe as they want to avoid a repeat of what occurred during the summer of 2022.
Liverpool are looking to bolster their attacking set-up in order to launch an assault on the Premier League title.
They might be hoping to recreate the devastating trio of Firmino, Salah and Mane which led the club to remarkable successes.
The Merseysiders have experienced the departure of Mane and Firmino in consecutive summer and the club weren’t as menacing in attack last term.
Despite the arrival of Darwin Nunez and Cody Gakpo in attack, they struggled to produce magic in many games last term.

It has also been reported that Mohammed Salah is nearing the exit door and Kylian Mbappe might come as his replacement.
Mbappe was monstrous in attack for Paris Saint Germain, scoring 41 goals and providing 10 assists in 43 appearances.
The Frenchman became PSG’S all-time top scorer last term, usurping Edison Cavani to the top spot.
He surpassed Cavani’s goal tally of 200 goals after scoring in the Parisians 4-2 victory over Nantes during the 2022/23 season.
Kylian Mbappe has gone on to score 212 goals in 260 appearances for Paris Saint Germain.
The 24-year-old has also been linked with a shock move to Arsenal, as the Gunners are reportedly interested in signing him should he become a free agent next summer.
It is unknown if Liverpool will fork out a staggering amount to get the forward’s signature as the club is known for being prudent in the transfer market.
The knowledge that Mbappe’s contract will come to an end next summer, might also deter them from paying such a mammoth amount.
Signing him this summer might be the best decision as it looks like he might be heading to the Santiago Bernabeu, if he becomes a free agent, due to his desire to play for Real Madrid.
