Just ahead of him, a car was struck by a collapsing pylon, but the Liverpool player managed to escape without any harm.

Remarkably, he emerged unharmed from the accident, which took place on a rainy stretch of road in Cheshire.

The car was struck by a collapsing pylon

The pylon, uprooted by the formidable 70mph winds of Storm Babet, came dangerously close to taking the Liverpool star’s life.

    How the accident happened

On Friday morning, October 20, a pylon weighing half a ton crashed into a BMW X5 directly in front of Alexander-Arnold, who was driving his Range Rover valued at £90,000.

In an attempt to avoid a collision, the England international had to abruptly match the brake but ultimately collided with the back of the BMW.

Fortunately, both occupants emerged from the incident without any injuries despite the potential for severe harm.

Meanwhile, the storm that is currently sweeping across the country has already claimed three lives according to The Sun.

Alexander-Arnold appeared shaken, and experienced the frightening incident on a rainy rural road near Knutsford, Cheshire, as reported by The Sun.

A source told The Sun: “The wind was so powerful it suddenly ripped up the pylon. It was terrifying.”

“It’s a miracle nobody was hurt. Someone could have easily been killed. What are the chances of that happening? Alexander-Arnold must feel like he’s cheated death.”

“A few seconds later it could have gone through his windscreen. It’s treacherous out there.”

Photos captured Alexander-Arnold standing near his car, situated close to the pylon that had been thrown across the road with its wires exposed.

The black Range Rover he was driving had sustained damage to its front, while the white BMW had veered off into a hedge and lost a headlight.

The Police were notified of the crash on the wee hour of Friday, October 20, and the electricity was subsequently shut off.

Cheshire Police said: “At 10.34 am this morning we were called to reports of a road traffic collision involving a black Range Rover and a BMW.”

“An electricity pole had fallen into the road, causing the accident. Nobody was injured and everything was cleared by 1.05 pm. We called the energy company and had the electricity turned off.”

It is believed that Alexander-Arnold, who resides nearby eventually attended training in preparation for today’s midday match against Everton at Anfield.
