Lionel Messi feels that the gap between Barcelona, Real Madrid and the rest of La Liga is tight. The Argentinian forward worries that the title race will be difficult for Barca this season.

Barcelona only lead Madrid on goal difference with 34 points at the top of the table. Alongside third-place Sevilla with only three points behind.

However, fourth-place Real Sociedad and fifth Getafe on 27 points. Just only three-points off Granada in ninth. While the seventh Athletico Madrid is five points behind the third.

Consequently, the short analysis above explains the opinion of Messi that the improvement of the teams across the league is impressive. As there is no dominance yet in the league.

Meanwhile, the Argentine focuses on El Clasico to set the gap with the Galacticos coming up on Wednesday. Leo also believes the result from the Clasico will play a key role in the title race.

According to reports, the six times ballon d’Or winner believes the rival has improved over time. While both teams are highly preparing to gain victory.

The defending champions have a record of two straight title-win since 2016/17 season. But seems they can not keep it the third consecutive time due to the close tie in the league.

Nevertheless, the Barca star insists they will have to prepare well to play every game to keep the title pursuit. Since every LaLiga team are currently in an equal standard.
