The Ligue 1 champions returned to winning ways after shock home defeat to Lyon with Lionel Messi and Sergio Ramos sinking Nice to hand their teammate, Marquinhos a fruitful 400th game celebrations.

Messi opened the scoring for PSG in the 26th minute. He also assisted a second half goal by Sergio Ramos as the club cruised to an easy victory over Nice.

It was a deserved win for PSG and an honor to one of the longest-serving players in the team, Marquinhos.

The victory was followed with celebrations as the players rallied around the Brazil international to celebrate his landmark spell with the club.

Marquinhos joined PSG in 2013 and made his debut for the club in a Champions League clash against Olympiacos in 2013.

Out of his 400 appearances for the club, Marquinhos has made 81 appearances in Champions League for the club, scoring 9 goals.

In Trophies Des Champions, he has made 9 appearances, 20 in Coup de France with 3 goals.

Marquinhos has recorded 262 appearances for PSG in French Ligue 1, recording 24 goals.

He has been regarded as one of the most decorated and successful players at the club. He has won Ligue 1 title 7 times since joining the club in 2013, including 6 Coup de la Ligue, 6 Coup de France, and 8 Trophes des Champions.

After his 400th appearance for PSG, the Brazil international is now third on the chart of players with most appearances for PSG in competitive games.

Jean-Marc Pilorget, who played for the club from 1975 to 1989, is the most capped PSG player with 435 appearances.


Pilorget is followed by Marco Veratti who joined the club in 2012 and has played 409 times for the club.

Marquinhos is now third on the chart and is set to make more appearances for the club as he continues his career at the French capital.

Marquinhos took to his social media to celebrate the milestone achievements.

Sharing slides of the celebration, he wrote, “400th game in this jersey. Always proud and honored as my first in 2013. With passion, respect, and joy to be here, I hope to have many more matches. Thank you to everyone who have accommodated me till today.”

Marquinhos current PSG contract will end in 2024 and talks have been ongoing on his contract renewal. He is the captain of the team and the fourth highest-paid player in the PSG squad with a monthly wage of €1.2m.
