The Argentine Legend is known around the world for his prowess on the pitch but he has already made his mark with his newest teammates in off-field matters.

This is coming after Messi ensured that one of his teammates did not fail to attend his welcoming ceremony.

The event saw Lionel Messi, 36, presented to his new supporters at DRV PNK Stadium for the first time after leaving PSG last month.

Deandre Yedlin revealed that: “On Sunday, [Leonardo] Campana was looking for tickets and he put in the group chat if anybody has any tickets.

“I didn’t even know whether Messi was in the group chat yet, but he popped up straightway and said, ‘How many do you need though?”

“Straightaway like that. From there I was just like ‘Woah!’ You know what I mean. Like straight off the bat, they maybe know each other for three days or something. But to show that generosity is a great fresh example of how [Messi] is.”

The unveiling saw Messi paraded alongside fellow new signing Sergio Busquets, and former Barcelona teammate who he reunited with in Florida.

The Argentine legend was greeted by club co-owners David Beckham and Jorge Mas. The former Barcelona stars were met with major fanfare at DRV PNK Stadium in front of 20,000 fans.

Though the weather conditions were not favorable, fans turned up for the unveiling, a moment that will likely go down as one of the landmark moments in the history of the sport stateside.

Billionaire businessman Mas gave Messi the billing of “Inter Miami’s number 10, America’s no.10, the best no.10 in the world, Lionel Andres Messi”

Beckham made headlines for nearly slipping over at the venue during the unique presentation.

The World Cup winner was eager to thank the club, his teammates and the staff for their welcome since he jetted into Fort Lauderdale on July 16.

Lionel Messi whilst speaking to Inter Miami fans said: “Thank you very much. First of all I want to thank all the people of Miami for this welcome, this affection. I want to thank you for the kindness and love that you have given me, this has happened so fast.”

The Argentine also went on to add that: “They are making everything easy for us, everything has been spectacular since we arrived. I really want to start training and to compete, I want to win for the club to continue growing. I hope that you will join us as you have since the season began. I thank my new colleagues for the welcome.”

Lionel Messi just like in 2021 when he shocked the world with a move to PSG has done the same now but to MLS side Inter Miami.

The former Barcelona attacker’s future was in the air, with the likes of his former club, FC Barcelona, and Saudi side Al-Hilal wanting to sign the World Cup winner.

However, Lionel Messi opted to join David Beckham’s US team in a city where he already owns a property amid lucrative offers, especially in Saudi Arabia.
