These overzealous individuals doused the front of Messi’s home with red and black paint after trespassing onto the property.

They also posed with a banner by a swimming pool and football pitch where the former Barcelona man and his family relax when on holiday on the island.

The duo of thugs were even spotted posing inside some goalposts within the multi-million-pound mansion.

The extremist group called Futuro Vegetal, have in the past vandalized the headquarters of top political parties in Spain alongside banks and also targeted Ibiza nightclub Pacha.

The mischievous persons also boasted online of the damage they had done to the property in Cala Tarida in the west of Ibiza.

Moreover, members of the Futuro Vegetal extremist association posted video footage showing two young female ruffians doing damage over Lionel Messi’s property, holding spray guns alongside red and black paint.

It is believed that the clean-up of the mansion following the mess will cost thousands, with Messi not present at the property when the vandalism occurred.

Reports indicate that Lionel Messi acquired the property in 2022, having loved spending time on the island during his time at Barcelona.

The 37-year-old alongside his wife Antonela and their three children have frequently been pictured having a great time in the popular tourist spot.

Why Did Futuo Vegetal Target The Mansion Of Lionel Messi?

They claim the mansion was illegally constructed and their motive was to show the responsibility of the rich for the climate crisis bedeviling the earth.

They were also spotted storming the upmarket Blue Marlin beach club in Cala Jondal with protest banners chanting: “Your luxury our climate crisis.”

Additionally, these cruel individuals went on to vandalize a private jet at the island airport with paint.

They reprised the same action with a yacht belonging to Nancy Walton Laurie, an American billionaire, and heir to the fortune of famous multinational retail corporation, Walmart.

Their bio on Instagram reads: “We are facing massive crop losses and famine, we have to rise to the emergency 🚨”.
