Real Madrid captain, Sergio Ramos is excited that his team returned to La Liga action after the coronavirus break with a 3-1 win over Eibar at the Alfredo Di Stephao Stadium.

The Galacticos are playing away from Bernabeau due to the ongoing renovation work at the stadium. First-half strikes from Kroos, Ramos, and Marcelo were enough to secure Zinedine Zidane’s men the maximum points that reduced their deficit behind Barcelona on top of the log to two points. Barca had also on their return mauled Real Mallorca 4-0 away from home on Saturday.

Ramos took to his Twitter page to react to the outcome saying he is glad to be back and happy to win.

Also speaking after the game, the Spanish captain it’s a huge blessing for players to set foot on the pitch again.

The skipper said the team was in good shape after working hard in recent weeks to recover some of the form lost due to the long break. He also said the 13-time Champions League winners have gradually started to get back into a rhythm and to play as well.

“It’s no surprise it wasn’t a wonderful performance and we have things we can improve. Physically the team was fine, you can expect to play with the intensity we showed in the first 45 minutes for the full 90. We dropped off a bit and left more spaces, but we’ll learn from it going into our 10 remaining game,” he added.

Speaking of getting the maximum points, Ramos said it great for the team from a morale perspective. According to him, what’s next is to get back to training for the next match which is on Thursday against Valencia at their temporary home.

He also revealed that he picked up a bit of a knock, which is just a strain, but he is happy to be back and to have got all three points.
