Leonardo Bonucci Contradicts Himself In Explosive Interview

Despite the claim by Leonardo Bonucci, a recent report has identified five key contradictions in the defender’s explosive interview after speaking about Juve boss.

Bonucci signed for Union Berlin as a free agent on 1st September, 2023 after a lengthy spell at the Serie A giants.

Bonucci’s spell at Juventus turned out to have a bitter end as the Italian center-back was always left out of the squad at the beginning of last season.

Recall we reported that the abandonment led the defender to sue the club earlier this week.

Leonardo Bonucci released an interview he had with Sport Mediaset where he challenged the Juventus narrative over his transfer.

Leonardo Bonucci in the interview claimed that he was not informed that he will have to depart the club in February subsequently blaming Allegri for his departure.

The Veteran defender first departed Juventus in 2017 to sign for AC Milan and now he has left Juve to join German side Union Berlin.

Bonucci revealed that he was offered a new deal by Juventus in October 2022, but reports in Italy claims that the new deal was not an extension, it was just an adjustment to the defender’s salary.

Tuttosport, a paper based in Turin, revealed that Juventus did not officially say anything about Allegri’s entourage.

But they went ahead to identify four more contradictions that was discovered in the interview by Leonardo Bonucci.

As per latest reports in Italy, Leonardo Bonucci failed to understand that Juventus did not want him in the 2023-24 season.

The report also claims that he was also given an opportunity to say goodbye to fans after a home game against Milan last season, the last matchup at the Allianz Stadium in 2022-23.

Bonucci reportedly rejected that opportunity and rather opted to wait until Juventus relieves Massimiliano Allegri of his job.

The coach, who was born in Livorno, reportedly spoke to Bonucci several times last season, even on 5th of March just before an away game at Roma.

Massimiliano Allegri was reportedly left disappointed by the behavior that was portrayed by the veteran defender, Leonardo Bonucci.

Leonardo Bonucci was subsequently seen in tears after the last game of 2022-23 at Udinese, which raised speculations that he was done with his Juventus career.

Report also claimed that Bonucci, 36, made a push so as to be included in the club’s starting eleven despite knowing it could be his last game.

Bonucci’s agent Alessandro Lucci was also reportedly informed by Juventus director in May, 2023 that the club did not need the services of his client anymore.

We are unsure if the veteran will hit back, but what we are certain of is that this is not the end of the legal battle between Juventus and one of their iconic defender.
